Conducting a detailed survey of a valve and chute system in a fertiliser plant where no as-built drawings were available
Details
Performed 3D laser scanning of the valve and chute area to capture precise measurements of the existing setup, including complex angles and connections. The scan covered the surrounding structures to ensure accurate integration of new components. Collaborated with engineers to design replacement parts and upgrades based on the scan data.
Results
Achieved a tolerance of ±1.5mm, providing highly accurate as-built data, enabling seamless design of replacement components and reducing downtime during installation. The project ensured continued safe and efficient operation of the fertiliser plant.
