Project Description
Euler Engineering delivered a Level of Development (LOD 200) architectural and structural model of a 4,500 sq ft residential property in Australia. The project involved converting point cloud data into an accurate Revit model to support design coordination, renovation planning, and documentation development.
The scope covered Ground Floor, Level 1, and Roof, capturing the overall building geometry and primary structural elements to support early-stage planning and design workflows.
Scope & Methodology
-
Processing and review of supplied point cloud data (Recap / TruView)
-
Establishment of coordinated project base and levels within Revit
-
Modelling of:
-
External and internal walls
-
Floor slabs and roof geometry
-
Structural framing elements
-
Doors, windows, and primary openings
-
Balconies and key architectural features
-
Development to LOD 200 standard (generalised systems, approximate quantities, accurate spatial relationships)
-
Quality checks to ensure alignment with scan data
Tools Used
-
Revit | Autodesk Recap | TruView
Outcome & Value
-
Delivered a clean, coordinated BIM model derived directly from site scan data
-
Provided reliable base geometry for design development and renovation planning
-
Reduced need for repeat site visits
-
Improved spatial clarity for architects and structural consultants
-
Enabled faster documentation progression
Key Benefit
By converting point cloud data into a structured Revit model at LOD 200, Euler Engineering provided a reliable digital foundation for informed design decisions, improved coordination, and streamlined project development.
