Multi-Storey Commercial Building

Sample 1.jpg

Project Description

Euler Engineering was engaged to capture an existing multi-storey commercial structure and convert it into an accurate 3D model to support design coordination, refurbishment planning, and future construction works. The project required high confidence in structural geometry where original documentation was incomplete, and site access was limited.

Scope & Methodology

  • Conducted comprehensive 3D laser scanning of the building’s structural frame across multiple levels

  • Captured columns, beams, floor slabs, façades, cores, and surrounding structural elements

  • Registered and processed the scan data to generate a clean, high-density point cloud

  • Developed a coordinated 3D structural model directly from the scan data

  • Aligned the model to real-world geometry for reliable dimensional accuracy and spatial coordination

Outcome & Value

  • Delivered a highly accurate digital as-built model reflecting actual site conditions

  • Enabled architects and engineers to confidently design upgrades and modifications

  • Eliminated the need for repeated site visits and manual verification

  • Reduced design risk, clashes, and rework during downstream design and construction phases

  • Provided a long-term digital asset for asset management and future development

Accuracy

  • Millimetre-level accuracy achieved through high-resolution laser scanning

  • Model suitable for BIM coordination, design development, and documentation
